Just a Little Proud...

These are the blocks Leyla got for her birthday last year. She loooooves them. I am going to try and take a video of her next time, but for now, I will just tell you what she did.

One side of the blocks has sea creatures with the numbers 1-10. I was sitting in her room with her and we started building the tower. Then I noticed that she would grab the block, look at it, and walk all the way around the tower to put the next block on top. She did it several times when I realized, she was matching the sides with the sea creatures!! And then she would set the next one on top, and spin it around until it was in the correct place! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. She was matching the pictures up the sides. What a smart little girl...and yes, I am just a little proud :)

Little Smarty Pants

It is amazing how fast Leyla learns! If I could spend all my time with her teaching her new words and reading I think she would learn to talk in 2 weeks! :) Seriously, they learn fast. I was showing her her lego blocks and saying each color last night - I got to "purple" and she said "puh-puh." So now she can say purple!!

One Week Old

We went to una Despedida and they had balloons everywhere!! Leyla loved them.

Leyla's New Dance Moves!!

Leyla has learned some new dance moves. Here she is showing them off :)

Puppies Are Here!!

Lizzy had her puppies from 7:30 to 10:30 last night, March 7. This is her with the first 4 - 3 boys and a girl. She did a great job! I was worried with it being her first litter, but she did so good! She cleaned them all super quickly and cut their cords and ate the placentas. She was very attentive, too, if we took one away!

After she was done, we moved them closer to the house and out of the wind (it was actually cold that night!).

Here she is this morning with all 7! Hard to get a good picture right now with them so small and black and all on top of each other. There are 4 boys and 3 girls and most of them are already sold...they are so cute though, it has been a fun experience. Leyla just stares at them and says "bow wow" and "ma ma ma?"
